Let's dig in somewhat deeper in the eighty's most popular conversion: the Mercedes-Benz SEC Coupe converted into a drop-top. The convertible conversion of the Mercedes SEC was done by many different companies, but never by Mercedes-Benz themselves. Several tuners and retailers had the conversions outsourced, but sold the cars under their own brand name.
